About

Hi, I’m Lindsey!

I’m a pastor’s wife, mom of two boys born on the same day 14 years apart (one bio, one adopted), writer, certified life coach, credentialed minister, and occasional speaker.

Before I was graciously bestowed those “honorable” titles, I carried far different descriptors: Rebel, self-centered, sinful, broken, abused, and divorced. Trauma, shame, fear, anxiety, and regret tainted my life for years.

My story is a winding, bumpy path from good girl to bad girl, broken to redeemed. I share snippets of that story here, but most of it is told in my upcoming book (release date to be announced).

I understand the world’s allure and have fallen prey to its temptations, so I’m not sharing from a holier-than-thou platform, but from the humble place of been-there-done-that-and-it-doesn’t-end-well

Because of my past, I intimately understand the world of trauma and have dedicated much of the last decade to studying its holistic impact (emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical), and how to heal and live a whole, purpose-filled life despite deep wounds.

As a foster parent, I have parented many children impacted by trauma. Much of my time has been given to helping others understand trauma and how it affects people, but also offering healing pathways and the hope that trauma, grief, wounding, regrets, and brokenness do not have to be a forever story.

I have profoundly experienced the transformative power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been healed, set free, and am an entirely new person, and I now love to help others find healing and freedom from life’s challenges.

I’m so thankful for all that Jesus has brought me through that I can’t help it spilling over into everything I share. All of life is interconnected, and there is nothing in our lives that Jesus doesn’t want to be a part of.

For from Him and to Him and through Him are ALL things.

Romans 11:36

Because of this, I’m also passionate about helping people see the value in living a gospel-centered life, and how much more freedom there is in living within the boundaries given in scripture. So many of us have been wounded and touched by trauma, disappointments, grief, and loss at some point, and I am honored to help lead hurting hearts toward healing. Still, I also understand the need for preventing trauma and laying a solid foundation– much of that is done through living life through the lens of scripture. This can be easier said than done, so I try to offer practical guidance and examples for how to apply scripture and invite Jesus into everyday life.

All are welcome here…

…but you might feel a little more at home if you are someone with a past (or present!) in need of grace, care for children with unique needs (foster/adoptive/special or high needs), and long for deeper holistic healing…or…

If your soul is pulled toward living with intention and more peace, if you value truth and depth above compromise and superficiality, if you want to cultivate health and wholeness in all areas of your life, and don’t mind a little poetic flavor now and then, you’re in the right place!

Thanks for taking the time to read my articles. I look forward to connecting with you in the comments, through my contact page, or Instagram!
