A Poetic Invitation for the Weary

Come to Me, all who are weary…

Come to me in your weariness;
Come in your distress
My very presence is your peace
In my nature, you will rest

For I am honest,
In me, there is no lie
What I say stands firm
On each Word, you can rely

My grace is sufficient
I am all you need
Absorb. Consume.
Walk out every word you read

I am Faithful and True
All my promises remain
Stop and remember
They are each yours to claim

Meet with me often
In the secret place of your heart
To find joy and peace
And the truth I impart

Come, come, come

Come to the secret place
For it is there you will see
My power, my love, and my very face
And there…you’ll find you in me

Come.
